If you are receiving Error Code BLZOWCLI00000007 in Overwatch stating your detected BIOS is older than recommended or referencing Intel 13th/14th generation processor updates, use the following methods to resolve the issue:
Fix 1: Reduce Maximum Processor State
- Press the Windows Key, search for Control Panel, and open it.
- Go to Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
- Click Change plan settings next to your active power plan.
- Select Change advanced power settings.
- Scroll down and expand Processor power management, then expand Maximum processor state.
- Lower both On battery and Plugged in values from 100% down to 95% or 90%.
- Apply and save your changes.
Fix 2: Lower the P-Core Ratio using Intel XTU
- Download and install the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) from Intel's official website.
- Launch XTU and find the Performance Core Ratio (or P-Core Ratio).
- Reduce the multiplier by 1x or 2x (for example, adjust it from 53x down to 52x or 51x).
- Apply the settings.
Note: Configure XTU to launch automatically when Windows starts so the modified ratio stays active.
Fix 3: Update Display Drivers
- Nvidia: Open the GeForce Experience app (or download it from Nvidia's official site), log in, navigate to the Drivers tab, and click Download.
- AMD: Visit AMD's official support page, download the installer, and follow the on-screen prompts to update your GPU drivers.
